Opsi and Anthros Inc. Partner to Boost Support for Chefs and Kitchen Teams
Minneapolis, MN – Anthros Inc., a national provider of human relations solutions, announced today their investment in opsi, a workflow app for chefs. Anurag Dandiya, CEO and founder of Anthros Inc., led the investment and is acting as an advisor to opsi.
Opsi was founded by chef James Passafaro and Matt Luckey in 2019 to address the lack of workflow tools for chefs within the hospitality industry. The idea for opsi was born while Passafaro was working at RN74 in San Francisco. Passafaro connected with Luckey, a product manager in technology startups and a friend since high school, to develop an application that would provide support to chefs and their kitchen teams.
“Naturally, Matt and James are talented. What impressed me most was their long-term brotherhood since high school. They stayed tied together to realize a common dream. That to me is appealing and I wanted to support their vision,” said Dandiya. “Anthros serves restaurants in 42 states. Some operators own 40+ locations under their umbrella. Opsi brings additional efficiency in their kitchen Ops. I am thrilled to be a part of opsi and to add another service feature to the Anthros Scope for our hospitality industry clients.”
Dandiya founded Anthros to re-engineer the way human capital is managed. He envisioned a new service delivery model and platform that would connect employees and reinforce the value of relationships. Dandiya sees these values reflected in opsi’s aim to provide human-focused tech that empowers kitchen teams every day.
“Opsi is extremely excited about this partnership,” said Passafaro. “We admire the years of hard work and persistence Anurag endured to build Anthros and its client base, and value the insights and introductions he can provide to us.”
Passafaro has been working in kitchens since the age of 12. Most recently, he worked as Chef de Cuisine at Gavin Kaysen’s Spoon and Stable where he incubated and tested the platform for four years before going full-time on opsi in 2022.
Since its launch, opsi has brought a new level of organization to kitchens across the country and looks forward to collaborating with Anthros as the company continues to grow.
